Dr Wong completed his medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 1998. He subsequently commenced radiology training in 2002 and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal college of Radiologists (UK) in 2006. He was a clinical tutor for the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore from 2007-2009. He later moved to Perth and undertook two fellowships in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention from 2009-2010, meanwhile obtaining the Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. He currently works as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Royal Perth Hospital. Dr Wong has also held Consultant appointments with SJOG Murdoch, SJOG Subiaco and Hollywood Private hospitals.
In addition to General Radiology, his sub-specialist interests include:
- Musculoskeletal imaging, including CT, Ultrasound and MRI
- Musculoskeletal Interventions, including all ultrasound and CT guided procedures
- Spinal injections, including sacroiliac joint, facet joint, nerve root and epidural injections
- RF ablation (Rhizotomy) for pain management eg. Morton’s neuroma, facet joint, ganglion impar, knee, hip, shoulder
