Dr. Ashish Chawla is an experienced Neuro Radiologist, highly experienced in the hospital/ healthcare industry. He has skills in clinical radiology, medical education, strategic planning and a strong entrepreneurship professional background.

Dr. Chawla graduated from India in 1998 with an MBBS and completed his post graduate degree in Radiology from the University of Mumbai in 2003.

He has worked as a Consultant Radiologist at the Mombasa Hospital, Mombasa, Kenya 2003-2006 before moving to Singapore in 2006 to pursue his fellowship in Neuroradiology at the National Neuroscience Institute (Singapore). He further obtained his FRCR degree from the Royal College of Radiologists in UK (London) and M Med (Singapore) from the National University of Singapore. He moved to Perth in 2008 and has worked with Corporate Radiology Group for several years. He obtained his FRANZCR (Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology) working as a Consultant in Perth.

In 2016 Dr. Chawla joined the Western Radiology team as a Consultant Radiologist and is now also a Executive Director. He is also the lead Radiologist and Director of Western Radiology.

A/Prof Adil Rajwani is a Consultant Cardiologist with specialist interest in multi-modality cardiac imaging.

He is the Clinical Lead for echocardiography at Royal Perth Hospital and the Clinical Lead for cardiac imaging at Western Radiology. A/Prof Rajwani holds accreditation in all 3 major cardiac imaging modalities (CT Coronary Angiogram, cardiac MRI and echocardiography). He undertook his PhD in cardiovascular biology in the U.K., and continues to contribute actively to academic cardiovascular medicine. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and is a regular invited reviewer for a number of international peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals.

Associate Professor Dennis Wong is an academic interventional cardiologist, cardiac CT and MRI specialist. He has strong research interest in atherosclerosis and imaging. In particular, he has a strong research interest in vulnerable plaque and assessment of functional significance of coronary artery stenosis using cardiac CT. He has published more than 80 manuscripts, won 12 young investigator awards including the 2013 Ralph Reader Prize (Clinical Section).

Paul is a consultant cardiologist based in Perth, who specialises in multimodality cardiac imaging (echo, CT and MRI).

Paul obtained a science degree (First Class Honours and top 5% of graduates) from University College London, prior to completing his medical degree at the same institution. He went on to complete 3 years of advanced training in Cardiology in Perth, WA. He subsequently completed a 12-month fellowship in Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging at MonashHeart, Melbourne. This fellowship included extensive training in echocardiography (cardiac ultrasound) and also cardiac CT.

Paul undertook further fellowship training in cardiac CT and MRI, under the supervision of world-renowned radiologist, Dr Jonathon Leipsic, at the Centre for Heart Valve Innovation, Vancouver.

Paul is actively involved in research and has recently completed (both as first and co-author) several papers in the field of cardiac CT.

Dr Manali Jain is a Clinical and Imaging Consultant Cardiologist, with a special interest in cardiovascular risk prevention and valvular heart disease. She completed her internship, physician and cardiology training in Auckland NZ, prior to further sub-specialty training in multi-modality cardiovascular imaging and valvular heart disease at the Advanced Imaging Centre at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and The University of Leeds, UK. She is a clinician with an active interest in research and has presented at local and international meetings.

Dr. Huang is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in multimodality cardiac imaging.
 
He undertook his cardiology training in Sydney and Melbourne, followed by a Fellowship in Cardiac CT and MRI at St. Paul’s Hospital, Vancouver, Canada and an Echocardiography Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. Dr. Huang is passionate about research and applying the latest findings into practice. He completed a PhD investigating thrombosis and lipids, and has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles in cardiac CT, atherosclerosis and vascular biology.

Dr. Giudicatti is a consultant cardiologist with expertise in multimodality cardiac imaging.

Dr Lauren Giudicatti is a Clinical and Imaging Cardiologist with special interest in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. She completed cardiology advanced training in Western Australia, followed by further sub-specialty fellowship training in echocardiography and Cardiac CT at Fiona Stanley Hospital. She then completed a second fellowship year in Adult Congenital Heart Disease at The Prince Charles Hospital, Brisbane. Dr Giudicatti has an active research interest and won the 2023 CSANZ cardiac imaging prize for her research in cardiac MRI. She has presented at multiple national and international meetings and holds appointments as a consultant cardiologist at Sir Charles Gairdner and Fiona Stanley Hospital, WA.

Dr Dipen Sankhesara is an interventional cardiologist with interest in Cardiac CT.

Following cardiology training in Western Australia, Dr Sankhesara did subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Royal Perth Hospital. He then did a further fellowship in complex coronary intervention at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, UK. During his fellowship in the UK, he also trained in cardiovascular CT scans and continues to use this as an important tool for non invasive assessment of cardiac anatomy. Dr Sankhesara holds appointments at St John of God Hospital, Subiaco and Joondalup Health Campus.

Specialisations: Clinical & Interventional Cardiology, Cardiac CT.

Dr Ng is a Consultant Cardiologist specialising in coronary intervention and cardiac CT.

Graduating from the University of Western Australia, Dr Ng completed comprehensive cardiology training in Perth, earning dual fellowships in coronary intervention and cardiac CT at Royal Perth Hospital. With a strong commitment to advancing cardiovascular care for his patients, Dr Ng is poised to undertake a prestigious clinical fellowship in the United States, specialising in complex coronary interventions and chronic total occlusions. Dr Ng is actively engaged in clinical research, with presentations and publications in various international meetings and journals. He currently serves as a locum interventional cardiologist at Royal Perth Hospital and St John of God Hospital (Subiaco).

Dr Wong completed his medical degree from the University of New South Wales in 1998. He subsequently commenced radiology training in 2002 and obtained the Fellowship of the Royal college of Radiologists (UK) in 2006. He was a clinical tutor for the School of Medicine, National University of Singapore from 2007-2009. He later moved to Perth and undertook two fellowships in Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention from 2009-2010, meanwhile obtaining the Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists. He currently works as a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Royal Perth Hospital. Dr Wong has also held Consultant appointments with SJOG Murdoch, SJOG Subiaco and Hollywood Private hospitals.

In addition to General Radiology, his sub-specialist interests include:

• Musculoskeletal imaging, including CT, Ultrasound and MRI
• Musculoskeletal Interventions, including all ultrasound and CT guided procedures
• Spinal injections, including sacroiliac joint, facet joint, nerve root and epidural injections
• RF ablation (Rhizotomy) for pain management eg. Morton’s neuroma, facet joint, ganglion impar, knee, hip, shoulder

Dr Kong graduated from The University of Auckland in 2002 and completed Radiology training in 2012. He completed subspecialty training in Musculoskeletal Radiology in 2016. He was also Clinical Director of Saint John of God Mount Lawley from 2014 to 2018. At which stage he was also a member of The Medical Advisory Committee and Scope of Practice Committee.

His previous appointments include Royal Perth Hospital, Hollywood Hospital and St John of God Hospitals in Murdoch and Subiaco.

His other interests also include teaching medical students and Radiology trainees as they rotate through.

Dr Vouros obtained his Medical degree in 2000 at University of Glasgow, UK. He obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons and Physicians of Glasgow (MRCS) and he commenced his Radiology training in 2006. He obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists (UK) in 2009. During his training at Kings College Hospital, London one of the renowned liver transplant centres in Europe, he gained extensive experience in complex hepatobiliary pathology, imaging and intervention.

On obtaining his CCT, he was appointed a Consultant Interventional Radiologist in West Suffolk Hospital, UK where he led the IR department from 2016 to 2020. As a keen educator, he was on the faculty for CUSIC (Ultrasound Course for Intensive Care) and he was educational supervisor for the Residents.

His subspecialty interests include:

• Vascular including U/S, CT and MRI imaging
• Image guided intervention biopsy including lung, renal, liver, omentum, US and CT guided
• Imaging of the genitourinary system
• Head and neck imaging and intervention

Dr Edward Chege Nganga obtained his medical degree from Moi University School of Medicine in 2008 and completed residency training in radiology at Aga Khan University Hospital, Nairobi (AKUH, N) in 2016. He then undertook a one-year subspecialist training in oncology imaging at the Royal Marsden NHS Trust in London UK. He was then appointed consultant radiologist and Assistant Professor at AKUH, N where he was the radiology lead in body cross sectional imaging, and section head for CT.

• Vascular imaging including U/S, CT and MRI
• Imaging guided intervention and biopsy including lung, renal, liver, omentum, US and CT
• Imaging of the genitourinary system
• Head and neck imaging and intervention

Dr Nik Hussin graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2002. He commenced radiology residency in 2009 at the North West School of Radiology in the UK. Nik obtained the fellowships of the Royal College of Radiologists UK (2014), the European Board of Radiology Diploma in Head and Neck Imaging (2020), and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (2023).

Prior to joining our practice, Nik served as a Radiologist in the UK at University Hospitals Morecambe Bay as the Lead in Head and Neck imaging. Nik was actively involved in quality assurance and clinical education and served at the Multidisciplinary Team Meetings in the acute Stroke Service, head and neck, and endocrine system.

Nik strives to provide quality clinical care in a compassionate and caring manner.

Dr Nick Kanakis graduated from the University of Western Australia and obtained Fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR). He completed a Musculoskeletal and Sports imaging fellowship in 2016.

An experienced Radiologist with special interest in Musculoskeletal, Sports imaging and intervention Dr Kanakis has worked closely with elite athletes, including the AFL and has keen interest in pain management and diagnosis.

He is committed to providing his patients with the highest quality experience and ensure they are comfortable and well informed during procedures. He is always happy to answer questions, placing importance in developing strong and trusting relationships with referrers, ensuring patients have a degree of continuity of care.

Dr Amber Noonari obtained her primary medical degree in Pakistan in 2000. She successfully completed her residency training in radiology at Liaquat National Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan in 2007 and attained Fellowship of College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan in 2009. Dr Noonari has vast experience of working as an independent radiologist in various government and private hospitals in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and UAE. She qualified for Master of Medicine in Diagnostic Radiology in Singapore and the Fellowship of Royal College of Radiologist UK in 2019. Before joining our team, Dr Amber Noonari was working as a consultant radiologist and paediatric imaging lead in Medway NHS Foundation Trust in Kent UK.

Dr Noonari is a very dedicated and hard-working clinician, well respected by her colleagues and admired by our patients.

Her main areas of work and strengths include General Radiology, Body imaging and Paediatric imaging.

David Rutha graduated from Moi university School of Medicine in 2011. He completed his radiology training in 2019 at the University of Nairobi and worked as a registrar in Kenyatta National Hospital and as a consultant radiologist both in public and private practice.
He is interested in General radiology.

Dr. Bishara is a Consultant Radiologist with a wealth of experience in various modalities, including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-ray. He holds a fellowship in Musculoskeletal Radiology and has a strong interest in Gynaecology and Neuroradiology.
